Alltech Young Leaders using IFAJ 30/30 tele-sessions for Professional Development

Alltech Young Leader participants have the opportunity to experience a unique boot camp with training and feedback, an international congress and access to a growing network of agricultural journalists and communicators.

As members of IFAJ they also have access to professional development opportunities (as do all IFAJ members!) that will help develop their skills. IFAJ is using the GoTo Meeting platform to offer 30/30 telesessions (30 minutes of presentation and 30 minutes of discussion) on various topics.

In July the Alltech Young Leaders participated in a 30/30 telesession on  “Making the Invisible Visible” with Katie Knapp. Katie has a master’s degree in visual sociology at Goldsmiths, University of London. For her dissertation research she explored questions about food production knowledge through innovative, visual methods.

Several Alltech Young Leaders participated in the 30/30 tele-session on photography using the GoTo Meeting platform.

After the Alltech Young Leaders participated in a 30/30 tele-session on Photography they had some homework to do. The Young Leaders have sent in some of their agricultural photos from the summer to share with IFAJ members.
